Do We Truly Believe?

Bible Journaling Illustrated Faith

I haven’t quite been able to do a page a day this Advent season, but I have managed to do a page about every other day, which considering the craziness of this season, is pretty good.

When I finished reading this verse and the devotional that I had to go with Day 21, I just knew I was going to use the Delight in His Day collection, designed by Elaine Davis!  I needed a break from all the monochrome simple pages I’ve been creating for Christmas, with a giant explosion of color!

Do We Truly Believe_1

John 20:30-31 (ESV

30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Sometimes we forget that the things written in the Bible really did happen!  They really are fact, and they are written down so that we might believe, truly believe.  In this belief we have been given eternal life through Him.  This verse reminded me that often times I read verses only to treat it as I would fiction instead of something that our Christian predecessors witnessed with their own eyes!  How amazing is that?!

  1. Love this! I studied this very passage (and I think probably the same devotional) this morning! Love your explosion of color.

Hi. I love your entry and I want to do something similar on my bible. I have that collection lying around and haven’t used it yet. Can you tell me how you used the white thread? Thanks!
