It’s the best time of the year for a crafter, and this week at Citrus Twist Kits we’re celebrating National Scrapbook Day too, with all kinds of fun things!

Three of my fellow ladies and I tackled the “3 to Inpsire” challenge, and this year for NSD, it included:

1. Stitching (Hand or Machine)

2. Something From Your Scrap Stash (the vintage book page in this month’s kit is great!)

3. Stamps

I decided to get to work with my three items in my Life Crafted Album! I started with this great sheet of choral sea kelp, and I then cut up my vintage book page to create triangular angles. This is such a fun technique that you can add to just about any project!

I then stitched on my book page shapes onto that gorgeous paper! I like to rough up the edges around all my stitching for even more dimension.

I then did a little stamp for my little title on this page; I chose the great “Road Trip” phrase and filled it in messily with blue watercolor. It nestled in so nicely next to the amazing printed cork stickers in this month’s kit!

I decided instead of inserting a whole new page in my album that I would highlight my photo on its own. This is such a great technique for helping a special photo stand out in an album. I stitched on these great tabs that I punched from the scraps of my sea kelp paper. See…those scraps really do come in handy!

I finished up this amazing challenge, by creating a little space on the back of my photo for my journaling! I just love how charming the journaling space looks next to those stitched tabs!
