There’s a lot of real heart that goes into the pages of my art journal, and sometimes I don’t give this unsuspecting little book enough attention. When I creak open its pages after a long time away, I find days of struggles melt into the act of layering all sorts of mediums and paints onto these pages. It’s a wide open space to say everything I need.
With a little help from a pretty paper from the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams Collection, I fussy-cut a million little florals and leaves. I almost always work with florals in my art journal because they just melt delicately into any medium I splash on the background.
These florals were backed with a light pink color, so I knew I’d be overlaying my background blues and teals with some pink to help the florals nestle.
This art journal spread is a part of the Spring Fling Instagram Hop, including a $50 gift certificate to Scrapbook.com, so make sure to jump over to my feed to participate!
