Hello, there friends! I hope you’re having an amazing week! Today I wanted to share with you how I’ve been working through the second Revival Camp kit! My Bible has gotten really chunky, and it’s become difficult to work in, but I’m holding out to get the new Illustrating Bible!
I didn’t want to purchase a new Bible in the mean time because that would be a waste of money, so I’m making use of my traveler’s notebooks! I haven’t worked in this format in such a long time, and it has been so nice to come back it! The size is so manageable, and it makes creating a total breeze!
I chose to use some of my vintage book papers for this kit, and I’m loving it! I would normally simply alter a book to suit my needs, but I didn’t have any books around the house that were small enough for this project. I simply cut down my vintage book pages to size, and I loved roughing up the edges before adhering them in my TN. I would normally hate the cream colored pages from this TN notebook, but they are perfect for working with vintage book pages.
I split Session 5 of the devotional, called Prepare, into 4 sections. This first page was all about reaching up in prayer. The second section was all about reading the word! I wanted to create a little flip out section to include my journaling on the back of this gorgeous floral paper from the Flourish collection! The 6×6 paper pad from this collection is a match made in heaven for those vintage book pages and the TN size!
After I embellished and sewed away on my vintage book page, I simply adhered it in! I make sure to do all my work on the book page prior to adhering it into my TN, in case there is any stitching, stapling, or painting I might like to do on the page!
What do you guys think?
