This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting family in St. Louis, so I knew I’d need to take my journaling supplies with me. I’ve tried to streamline my travel supplies, and the American Crafts sticker books are amazing! They have a million and one (ok fine…a couple thousand) stickers, and they are so beautiful and compact!
I decided this weekend to pack only my Maggie Holmes goodies because they are versatile, and they are a breeze to work with.
I found myself in Judges while I was reading that morning, and I completely related to Gideon when he said, “Pardon me, my lord, but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” (Judges 6:15)
If that isn’t the perfect example of doubting our strength in the Lord, and goodness knows, I am so guilty! When I’m chasing after something I desire, I oftentimes give in to hardships because I lose faith. Gideon asked the Lord for a sign because he had doubts, and as gracious as our Lord is, He granted him a sign, not once but twice.
The Lord assured Gideon of His strength; He assured him that he would not fail in his endeavor! Even as the weakest and least in his family, with the strength of the Lord at his right hand, Gideon of Manasseh went on to defeat the Midianites.
With the strength of the Lord, we can chase any dream, overcome any obstacle, and defeat any enemy!
