1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV)
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Today we’re focusing on the importance of physical well-being. I’ll be totally honest with you guys this morning, I spent thousands of dollars on a college education focused on fitness! If you asked me 6 years ago, I had passion and an entire plan dedicated to it! That passion hasn’t completely dissipated, but my priorities are certainly elsewhere these days! Embarrassingly enough when I’m asked what I did in college, it seems like such a sham to respond to them with the truth when I “look the way I do.” That sentence right there is another reason this series is absolutely necessary for me!
God certainly didn’t pay the ultimate price for me to not care for the body that I have been given! Sometimes I forget that the Holy Spirit dwells inside of me, and I am His holy temple. These past couple years, I haven’t done a great job at caring for it in many ways. I am one of those people that truly need extensive exercise every day, and I have certainly not done that! Some bodies can maintain healthy lifestyles with their everyday movements, but I certainly cannot. I’m not saying that we need to look a certain way to be beautiful in God’s eyes, but I am saying that he calls us to separate ourselves from gluttony and lack of self-discipline! Ladies and gentlemen, that means we are responsible for maintaining the health of our vessels! They are created in God’s image, and we must honor that!
“Lord help me to realize that my body is not my own and to realize the gravity of that! I must take care of it; It was bought with a price, and the Holy Spirit lives in me. Mold me in your image, and give me the self-discipline to care for it, so that I might more ably serve you.”

All of us crafty ladies are going to have to hold each accountable for our physical well-being because that is so true! Also, the new tiny IF alpha stickers really are my new favorite! I just need to always have my tweezers around haha!
