²² The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
²³ they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Have you ever noticed how you can go to bed at night so upset or fuming with anger, and when you wake up the next morning, it has all seemed to have been put to bed as well.  I would have to try really hard to conjure up that emotion again.  Isn’t that amazing!?  There are several verses in the Bible that speak about each day being a new day.  Going to sleep at night is much more important than we sometimes realize; It is a powerful gift from the Lord.  It not only brings physical rest, but it also recharges our hearts and our minds.  Our Lord knows the depths of our struggles in our daily lives, and he gives us the night to reset our hearts for a new day!  His mercies are new every morning, and He has given us the gift of sleep to rid ourselves of every un-Christ-like emotion we might be feeling.  We wake up reset for a new day and filled with the promise of His love!
