I was so excited to get my package from Ranger Inks and Scrapbook.com that included the amazing new line by Ranger called Letter It™ !  I’ve always had an absolute love for embossing powders, but I hadn’t experimented much with the other mediums.  All I can say is I’m hooked.  As soon as I cracked open that box, I had to put it all in my Bible!

For this day of Advent I wanted to focus my entry on the coming of the final High Priest!  I just loved the lettering stamps designed by Taylor Huizenga, and I couldn’t help but stamp on the sentiment from the Celebration set.  It felt so whimsical and animated to think of the coming King this way!

Jesus, High Priest of a Better Covenant

8 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,² a minister in the holy places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man.

I cracked open my set of Perfect Powders and chose the color Sunflower Sparkle for my crowns; I cut them from the Ivory A2 cardstock.  Aren’t they just the cutest!?

Next I added the polka dot background with a stencil, clear embossing ink, and thetinsel collection of embossing powders.  If you haven’t tried embossing in your Bible before, you will certainly have to try; however, keep in mind that you will have some shadowing on the back of the page.

All that was left was to stamp on the brush scripts with ink pads and add a couple other elements to complete my page!  The High stamp was created by masking off some of the stamps that come in the Celebration collection.  I also used half of a #1 tag from the Letter It™ Tag Assortmentwith some Perfect Pearls and green glitter ribbon for my tab!
