Ecclesiastes 3 (ESV)
A Time for Everything
3 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
I had been reading Ecclesiastes in preparation for a verse that I had committed to do for Winding Path Ministiries , and I’m not a fan of journaling things I haven’t read recently. As I passed over this ever-notorious verse on seasons for every season of life, I was caught in thought, reflecting on my life. This season of my life is truly a season of firsts, a season of change.
I find it so comforting to know that just as nature is shedding all that it once knew from the season prior, so too is my life. The busyness of motherhood, the delicate balance of marriage, and the ongoing pressures of housework and my career, ebb me into a shifting change of seasons.
So as the leaves fall and the brisk air moves in, I too long to transition into this new phase of life with the same effortless, almost unnoticeable measure as nature.
I decided to film another process video with this one considering it was late at night, I couldn’t sleep, my husband was out of the house, and my little one was fast asleep. Considering it was 10:00PM, and I have negative amounts of quality light in my house, I did what I could haha!
