James 1:2-4
Testing of Your Faith
2 Count it all joy, my brothers,[a] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
What a perfect verse to start out the 3rd month of October in the Faithful Life Challenge from The Reset Girl. This month we are focusing on Gratitude.
I am no stranger to needing God’s deliverance. My faith is tested daily, and throughout a lifetime of hurt and grief, I have learned to be thankful for all of it. I have learned to be thankful for my less than fortunate circumstances, because in them I find Him; my redeemer, my father. It is a strange, sweet satisfaction to be rescued from the most grievous of circumstance in the remembrance that I am His, and He is faithful!
When I am tested by this world or my circumstances tempt my faith in Him, I lean on this truth. “God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1Corinthians 10:13).
This page was put together using yet another one of Maggie Holmes beautiful collections, Carousel. I’ve been hoarding it because it’s just so pretty! I started by painting in the background with white acrylic paint, Martha Stewart Glitter Paint in Wintermint, and added a little texture with a lettered stencil and modeling paste; I also embossed on some gold glitter and sewed in some crepe paper.
Enjoy your finally fall-feeling day crafty friends!
So beautiful!
