Turmoil

Bible Journaling Illustrated Faith

There is much that I’d like to write today, but as a Christian sometimes I must guard my words so that I might more glorify Him.  All I know is that I felt compelled to share something.  I can’t say how any of you feel in lonely, agitated situations, but for me it’s inwardly all consuming.  I don’t know your struggle, but I know mine; and I know that when I’m swimming in a pool of doubt, loneliness, and frustration, these verses bring me comfort.  I hope that the Lord can speak clearly enough on my behalf, because he can say it far more beautifully than I.  May His words bring you comfort in times of inner turmoil.

Isaiah 54:5English Standard Version (ESV)

For your Maker is your husband,
    the Lord of hosts is his name;
and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,
    the God of the whole earth he is called.

Isaiah 26:3-4English Standard Version (ESV)

You keep him in perfect peace
    whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.
